8th grade students successfully increased their hand skills the first nine weeks of school. They built layered animals and puzzles out of wood. The projects caused interest, thinking, creativity, focus, and a great sense of accomplishment.

STUDENTS ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR BOXER SHORTS PROJECT. IT IS EXCITING! THIS PROJECT IS CHALLENGING AND FUN. STUDENTS ARE DEVELOPING HAND SKILLS AND LEARNING A NEW VOCABULARY. THEY HAVE TO FOLLOW AN EXACT PROCESS TO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE A SUCCESSFUL PAIR OF SHORTS.

Students experienced a "hands-on" project making their catapults. The project went well. Hand skills, following oral directions, and successful group work were accomplished during the activity.

7th graders try their hand at a domino project. It is excellent and entertaining. The students used their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

8th graders made the trip to DeSoto NWR to shoot wildlife, habitat, food sources, native grasslands, croplands, and the restoration of the wetlands. Students are learning digital photography basics using the outdoor classroom. This is an example of stills put into a slideshow. The stills were edited in Photoshop CS5 and made into a slideshow in iMovie '09.

7TH GRADE STUDENTS RECENTLY COMPLETED THEIR BOXER PROJECT. FASHION AND TEXTILES IS THE NAME OF THE MODULE. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR MODULES IN FCS. ENJOY!!
