Enter here what the difference is between passive and active noise reducing headphones. Then, explain how you think active noise reducing headphones work. Make sure you type a paragraph, you describe the type of interference that is used and how it is used, and that you include a link to any source that you used to solve this problem.

Passive uses noise to block out the sound, while Active blocks out everything, from the outside. I think that the active headphones use a special insulator that helps to block out the sound, while, without you knowing, they use White Noise to block it out even more, this would mean that they were using Destructive Inferences. Active blocks out all the noise. Passive just puts noise in your ear. The new head phones get rid of the problem of playing music to loud.the head phones are a great tool to have.

The difference between passive and active reducing headphones is simple. Passive noise reducing headphones use insulation either in or outside the ear to block out noise on the out side. Some examples would be foam or gel. Active noise reducing headphones use technology. They actually can capture the pitch of the outside noises that try to come in. Then the active headphones pick up the sound and create a noise that will cancel out the outside noise trying to get in.

passive is where just the device and the headphones block out the sound with the music active headphones send out sound waves that interfere with outside sounds and turn them all the way around so there is no sound from the outside

The difference between passive and active headphones is that passive headphones don't block outside sounds very well, while active headphones block the outside noise by 'listening' to the outside noise and make a sound wave 180 degrees out of phase with the outside noise. The interference used is destructive interference. The headphones make a sound wave that eliminates outside noise, so that the wearer may have complete silence.http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/audio-music/noise-canceling-headphone3.htm

so one blocks noise out where you dont have 2 hear your parents yelling at you and one just put the music you love in your ear 2 be honest i would rather have the one where no sound is from your parents

The difference between passive and active headphones that you can still hear outside noises. Active headphones block out All noise. How the passive ones work is that the material is the only thing blocking it.Active ones work by sacrifices by the amplitude and pith off the music.

The headphones block out sound by the materials the headphones are made out of.Active headphones are god because it doesn't use music to drowned out other sound but uses the stuff it is made out of so it doesn't make you deaf.Passive use music to drown things out so the active headphones are just used to help you drown out everything.

The difference between passive and active headphones is that passive one's might block out some of the outside sound but mainly just plays music. The active one though blocks out all noise around you, so you don't have to blast the music to block out. I think active noise reducing headphones work by getting the sound from the outside and then reverse it in the headphones, therefore cancelling the outside sound out. The destructive interference is used by cancelling out the sound.http://www.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/audio-music/noise-canceling-headphone.htm

Noise canceling headphones block out all unwanted sounds in the background. It uses more than one microphone near your ear. These make it possible to enjoy music without blasting the volume on high. They also make it easy to sleep in a noisy vehicle such as an airplane.

The difference between passive and active noise cancelling headphones is that passive headphones just play music which kind of eliminates sound but still lets some go through. Active noise cancelling headphones work by mimicking wave that but it is change by 180 degrees. It creates a destructive interference that stops the incoming noise. http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/audio-music/noise-canceling-headphone3.htm

Difference between passive and active is one blocks out the noise all the way and one just puts noise in your ear. To block the noise all the way out there is a amplitide and pitch that blocks out the noise

Active noise reducing headphones can do everything passive headphones can do and they also reduce MORE noise because they erase lower frequency sound waves. They create their own sound waves that are 180 degrees different than the other waves, therefor, it is a destructive interference. http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/audio-music/noise-canceling-headphone3.htm

The passive headphones do not block out ALL of the sound like active headphones do. How the active ones work is that it is actually sacrificing your music's sound quality. http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/audio-music/noise-canceling-headphone.htm
